Many Want Heaven, Very Few Will Make It

It's easy to say "I believe in Jesus", but what does that really mean?
We scroll past Bible quotes. We repost "God is good" on our stories. We listen to worship music while driving to work. Yet somewhere between Sunday mornings and Monday routines, our faith often becomes polished on the outside, but hollow on the inside.
Here’s the hard truth: many people today want to go to Heaven, but very few are willing to live the life that leads there.
📖 Matthew 7:14
"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
People want the crown without the cross.
People want blessings without obedience.
People want Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord.
This Bible study is not for the comfortable.
It’s for the soul who dares to search deeply.
It's for those in the 21st century who are willing to ask:
Am I truly following Christ? Or just following the crowd?
Will I be one of the few? Or am I just assuming I’m safe?
We’re living in the age of casual Christianity, but the gospel has never been casual. Jesus said it plainly: “Few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:14)
This is your moment to stop scrolling and start seeking. Don’t just read this. Let the Word of God expose, refine, and revive your soul.

Will You Be One of the Few?
Think about this deeply. Many desire the glory of Heaven. Many speak the name of Jesus with their lips. But how many truly follow Him?
Let the Word of God search you today.
📖 Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus paints a sobering picture: two paths — one wide and easy, another narrow and hard. The wide gate is crowded. It’s filled with those who live by convenience, self, and the ways of the world. But the narrow path? It requires sacrifice, repentance, humility, and full surrender to Christ.
📖 Matthew 7:21
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
It is not the one who simply calls Him ‘Lord’, but the one who obeys His will, who will enter Heaven. The crowd may be religious — but are they righteous?
Ask yourself: Am I walking the narrow way — or am I comfortable in the crowd on the broad road?
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
— John 14:15

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"
— Luke 6:46
Jesus is not seeking just admiration or verbal affection.
True love for Him is revealed in obedience.
Many say they love Him…
Many attend church…
Many post scriptures online…
But do they keep His commandments?
Do you keep His commandments?
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
— John 14:21
Love is not proved by words, but by daily surrender and willing obedience.
Reflect deeply: Is Jesus truly your Lord, or just your religious label?
📖 Luke 13:23-24
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Here lies one of the most unsettling truths: "many… will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."
Why? Because they sought too late. They lived unrepentant lives. They presumed they had more time. They refused to strive and to deny themselves and take up their cross.
The true Christian life is not a leisurely stroll; it’s a fight, a discipline, a daily denial of self.
Heaven is only entered by those who have been truly born again and walk in newness of life.
📖 2 Corinthians 13:5
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
We must not assume.
We must not compare ourselves to others.
We must examine our own hearts, our own walk.
Do you have genuine repentance? Do you hunger for righteousness? Do you love the Lord more than the world? Do you bear the fruit of the Spirit? Are you walking in holiness?
These are not questions to frighten you — but to awaken you.
Final Questions for You
- Will you be one of the few who find life?
- Will you follow Jesus even when the crowd turns away?
- Will you obey Him even when it costs you everything?
The gate is narrow. The hour is late.
Will you make it?
